1974 Chaser 29

Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada

C$25,000

Built for an Australian to win the ½ Ton World Championships in Chicago in 1975, which it did. Purchased by a Canadian after the Worlds and she continued its life racing in the Maritimes and created a bit of a name for itself winning local events like the Prince of Wales trophy and Chester race weeks over the years.

Under the current owner, she raced Chester Race Week and finished 1st, 2nd and 2nd in its last 3 years. She is "barn stored" 50 weeks per year and is only launched for the purpose of sailing in Chester Race Week under her current skipper.

The boat has been updated multiple times over the years including the following in 2019;

New North Sails Carbon race inventory;  Mainsail, Spinnaker, #1 Genoa , #2 Genoa  [ all minimal use ]

New topside paint

New Deck paint

New bottom paint and sanded

New Perspex windows in cabin top and side decks

New bow light lenses in topsides

New lifelines

New varnished trim in the interior, hatchway and tiller

New interior paint

New custom bunk and seat cushions

Pulpits and stanchion bases polished and looking new

New graphics

She looks great and is ready to race.  She has had several owners and the current owner actually bought it twice, he loved it so much.   She had a new mast in 2008 plus several new sails over the last 8 years, new winches and a good running rigging package.  Also the motor was replaced in recent years as well.   Stored inside and cared for, this boat is dry and in great shape.   She is a top performer in the local PHRF fleet, winning races in Chester Race Week on multiple occasions under all of her skippers sailing with a PHRF rating of 156.

You could have the privilege of continuing Foxy’s Legacy wherever you go with her. She has lots of life left.
