2000 Cabo Rico 42

location icon Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada
Year 2000
Length 42 ft
Price
US$265,000

"Tai Chi" is hull #1 of 18 Cabo Rico 42's built. She has been the subject of magazine reviews during the introductory year of the 42 model and as such was finished to a high standard as the builder's "show boat".

In the Cabo Rico 42, fast performance requirements are pushed even further without compromising Cabo Rico's firm commitment to cruising yachts that are safe and comfortable in all conditions, yet easy to handle at sea.

The blend of traditional elements with the latest thinking and computerized design techniques has created a very special yacht that accomplishes these goals.

She's fast, safe, comfortable, and easy to handle alone. Below is found a sensible seagoing interior with two private staterooms, a good navigation station, and many thoughtful features, including a special dish-drying locker in the large galley.

Half of her life has been spent in freshwater regions and as such, she shows like a younger vessel.

Her current (third) owners have cruised her since their purchase in 2009 both down island and of late, further north into the uncrowded cruising coves of Newfoundland.

Not launched in 2020 due to Covid restrictions she was sailed from Lewisporte, NL to Chester, NS this summer. Currently on the hard, under cover, available for detailed inspections. A detailed SAMS pre purchase survey was completed at the owners request in September 2021. Survey is available for review on request.

For sailors looking for old world craftsmanship, real solid wood finishes, impeccable joinery and finish, the Cabo Rico has few peers. Almost impossible to replace in today save for a few semi custom builders.

Her features and specifications are detailed under the Additional Information section; resulting questions on any aspect of her inventory or history should be directed to the listing broker via our Contact Us link.
