2012 Hunter 31

"Mystic" was bought new from Hunter Marine at Alachua, Florida in 2012. She was transported north to Chester Basin, NS and commissioned at Sunnybrook Yachts & South Shore Marine.

"Mystic" was christened with a bottle of champagne in a family naming ceremony. Her name was inspired by the melodic and haunting Van Morrison song “Into the Mystic.”

"Mystic" has cruised and raced on St Margaret’s and Mahone Bay from June to October each year. Through marinas, sailing clubs, and rafting up with fellow sailors, she has provided opportunities for her owners to meet new friends and experience the joy of sailing the coast of Nova Scotia. She has been winterised, covered, serviced and stored at the end of every season on the hard at Shining Waters Marine.

"Mystic" is a family boat fun and easy to sail with furling jib and furling mainsail. When the opportunity and wind direction allow, she has a gennaker sail to add to the sail wardrobe. A high ballast ratio and low aspect sail plan keeps "Mystic" on her feet in heavy air while a special bow shape slices through choppy seas for a smoother and more comfortable ride. She can be sailed as easily singlehanded or with friends and family.

"Mystic" is stable and balanced with a cockpit and cabin that easily takes all onboard in comfort and style. The Hunter designed cockpit overhead stainless-steel arch and canvas bimini and dodger allow for on the water enjoyment whatever the weather brings. Whether seeing whales, porpoises or gannets, swimming or simply fishing for mackerel, Mystic has provided new experiences on the water, fun and excitement for all who have sailed on her.

An 8 ft 10 in Seabright inflatable and Honda 2.3 gas engine are available for sale by separate negotiation.
